Do you have a burning question (generally, nonmedical; specifically, about some area besides than your urinary tract) or difficult problem (other than achieving erection, lubrication, or orgasm – in which case, see Dr. Ruth or Dr. Drew) of general interest to many people about investment, risk management, derivative products, or financial engineering? The following categories of inquiries are appropriate:

  • definitions -- please include context for best results
  • statistical properties of risk factors
  • mathematical models for pricing Derivatives and managing market and credit risk
  • software and systems issues related to pricing, risk management, and reporting
  • model risk (how those models you rely on can bite you in the butt)
  • trading strategies that put Derivatives to use
  • business issues, whether related to working on Wall Street or running a consulting business
  • ethical issues, excluding information about specific illegal acts, please?

If so, then Ask Dr. Risk! We'll feature here the most interesting issue, question, or problem – and Dr. Risk's discussion, answer, or solution – when we revise the page. Dr. Risk will do his best to respond to each of you, at least briefly. However, he regrets that even he cannot provide complete a complete response to each inquiry.
